I've always loved feeding people. My Mom let me do whatever I liked in the kitchen as long as I cleaned up the mess. In the summer, blueberries for pies and muffins beckoned from the windows of our home in the boreal forest. Mint and Labrador tea ringed the lake that was too tiny for tourists but perfect for a childhood.
I kept practicing, as a nanny in the Rockies cooking for a family of five at age sixteen, as a young Mom selling baking and soups at the market with a baby on her back and then in my restaurant, New Ground Cafe' in Birch Hills.
Since 2012, I've been cooking in Saskatoon and beyond whenever handmade local food is required!
